NORTHERN ALBERTA WILDERNESS BLACK BEAR HUNT

This is one of the best Spring black bear hunts in North America because of the absence of hunting pressure and the bounty of exceptionally-large, trophy quality boars, many of which are color phase boars. The outfitter/trapper has exclusive rights to over 126 square miles of wilderness for hunting and trapping. There has been little bear hunting here for years! Hunters arrive in Ft. McMurray, Alberta, Canada, for a brief overnight stay in a motel and are flown into camp by bush plane early the following morning to begin the hunt. Hunters will have the opportunity to shop in town for snacks, alcoholic beverages, etc., on the evening prior to flying into camp. Once you're in wilderness camp, you're in there until the hunt is over, so check your list twice! Accommodations include outfitter wall tent with camp "bag" shower, cot/sleeping bags furnished, camp meals cooked by outfitter/guides/hunters. Fishing is free, available and fishing licenses will be issued to each hunter. Bug spray and bug nets are mandatory for an enjoyable experience! This hunt offers 100% opportunity and 100% success. No hunter has ever gone home without a great bear!

Hunters will be in stands overlooking active baits set up many miles apart. During this time of year, boars are hungry and love sick with the rut coming into full swing. Any bait frequented by a sow can draw numerous boars who roam far and wide looking for a sow in heat. Some baits may be frequented by 3-4 huge boars in a week when the rut is on.

BOOKING:
Baits will be active and ready to hunt no later than 21 May 2010 and hunts may run through 12 June. Call for specific dates that you would like to hunt. The rut usually peaks 28 May-5 June. The price for this hunt is $4,500 for a six (6) day hunt. License/tags are approximately $150.00 and will be pre-bought for you by the outfitter and issued in camp. Each hunter is issued two tags. There is a $1500.00 trophy fee for harvesting a second bear, should you have the desire and opportunity to take a second bear. A hunt is considered booked when a 50% deposit is posted. The balance of the hunt is due to the outfitter upon arrival in camp in cash or certified funds.
