MICHIGAN WHITETAIL/ELK HUNT

Looking for that elusive trophy whitetail buck or bull elk to fill the void on the wall of your trophy room? OSA has it in Michigan! We represent a conglomerate of deer and elk ranchers across Michigan who produce every conceivable size and configuration of trophy deer or elk rack on an annual basis. Whether you're seeking wide spread, massive beams, long points, typical or non-typical configurations, we have it!

Hunts begin with a flight into Flint, MI, and a short trip to your motel in Davison, MI, where you will be ferried by the outfitter/guide to various venues around the state to hunt on a variety of hunting preserves. These hunting preserves vary in size from 10-500 acres. Most of the hunts are challenging and you must be able to sit still and quietly in a stand in order to get an opportunity. In some venues, organized "pushes" or "drives" will bring deer and/or by you. Most elk hunts are spot and stalk through considerably thick wooded terrain or by stand-hunting on fields in late evening.

Prices vary widely, dependent upon the size and quality of the animal that you desire and the time of year you are hunting. September and October offer the best in elk hunting because most large bulls will have broken off substantial amounts of their racks during the rut, making them less desirable trophies during November-December. But in some cases, breeder bulls of superior genetics and exceptional antler condition that have been selected for retirement after their last breeding season are available in November-December at a much reduced rate.

The same goes for whitetail bucks. Most of the 190-200+ class deer are harvested upon rubbing out of the velvet in order to guard against broken-off points and other damage to their racks which occurs later in the year. But many mature breeder bucks become available after the November rut and can be had at greatly reduced prices. In any case, if you need an 8-point or an 18-point, a "first deer" for a youngster or the deer of a lifetime for yourself, we can put you on it in Michigan!

The bottom line? Call or email and let me know: 1) What you want 2) What dates you are available to hunt. I will find your animals to choose from, give you a price quote and book you as soon as you post your 50% deposit. These hunts are very popular and book up quickly. Most weekend hunts go first. If your schedule allows you to hunt during the week, you will have a much broader range of dates to choose from.
